Faststream Recruitment has partnered an environmentally vessels and infrastructure equipment company, to identify, engage shipping & maritime lawyer to join their team as a legal Associate. This is a newly created position which reports directly to the Head of Legal.
Job Description
- Prepare legal opinions on maritime law issues.
- Draft or review maritime-related agreements and documents.
- Research maritime legal issues as necessary
Requirements
- Knowledge of international maritime laws, regulations, and conventions
- Ability to interpret and explain maritime legal documents
- Familiarity with maritime contracts and agreements
- Expertise in marine insurance law and claims
- Ability to advise on marine-related environmental issues
- Expertise in international trade and transportation law
- Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized university and admitted to the Singapore Bar
- Minimum 1-2 years of PQE for Senior Associate position
- Experience in maritime/shipping law and familiar with carriage of goods by sea, dispute resolution, commercial litigation, and marine insurance
- Strong communication skills and able to work as a team player and independently.
