Our client stands as the global leader in energy solutions within the Marine Industry. With an ambitious expansion strategy in place, they are currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their dynamic team.
About the role
- Lead and guide a team of Software Engineers.
- Participate in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for complex systems.
- Collaborate with Solution and Technical Architects, Engineers, and Product Managers.
- Act as a liaison Engineer for key accounts, offering onsite support.
- Promote engineering best practices like code reviews and automation.
- Implement effective software development methods and technologies.
- Work independently to propose technical solutions and validate cost estimates.
- Continually improve technical knowledge and apply industry best practices.
- Ensure adherence to standards and deliver high-quality code on time.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers.
- Min 7 years working experience of IT/Software development experience.
- Proficiency in Python, with experience in Django, Flask, or CherryPy.
- Familiarity with NodeJS, Java, JavaScript is a plus.
- Experience with microservices, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and AWS.
- Knowledge of secure coding, test automation, and Git/BitBucket.
- DevOps mindset with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Github Actions, and Atlassian Suite.
- Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and customer-facing experience.
