As part of their offshore wind business they have ambitious growth plans in this area. To support this growth they are actively hiring a General Manager to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Overseeing daily business operations of CSOV department
- Liaising with ship managers and clients ensuring a first-class service is provided.
- Working with designers and clients for innovations and reducing emissions, working towards net zero.
- Research and build relationships with new & existing clients.
- Proactively looking at other vessel sectors for our client to expand into e.g. cable lay installation (including turbine and foundation).
- Work with technical/project staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
Primary Output:
- Developing and implementing growth strategies.
- Ensuring best in class service.
- Client retention and innovation.
- Ensuring vessel managers are achieving operational excellence.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience within role or 6 years within the Offshore Vessel Industry.
- Good communicator who is capable of report writing in a clear and structured way.
- Leadership and management skills with previous experience of managing people, including performance assessment.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, able to analyse operational data to help improve efficiencies and to also predict potential problems.
- Familiar and current with computer programs used within the industry.
