Roles & Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities include overseeing chartering operations, negotiating freight contracts, and optimizing vessel utilization. You will be expected to demonstrate initiative, leveraging your experience to make strategic decisions independently. A successful candidate should be highly motivated, capable of taking calculated risks, and possess the ability to contribute to the company's growth. The role requires someone who can quickly adapt, hit the ground running, and play a key role in advancing Alta Commodities' position in the dry bulk shipping industry.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in dry bulk chartering / cargo operating Supramax, Panamax, Ultramax segment with strong tonnage exposure
- Profound knowledge of standard shipping terms and excellent skills to negotiate charter party terms
- A committed team player, independent, flexible, service orientated and self-motivated with very good communication skills
