Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead the development and execution of our company’s strategic vision. Reporting to the Chairman, Executive Directors, and Board of Directors, the CEO will oversee all aspects of the organization, ensuring sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and adherence to the highest standards of corporate governance, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Board to develop and implement the company’s long- and short-term strategies, ensuring alignment with our mission and vision.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure the company is appropriately organized and staffed, with authority to hire and terminate personnel to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage principal risks, ensuring robust internal controls and management information systems are in place.
  • Ethical and Legal Compliance: Maintain systems to ensure lawful, ethical, professional, and safe operations, upholding high standards of corporate citizenship and social responsibility.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between management and the Board, effectively communicating with shareholders, employees, government authorities, stakeholders, and the public.
  • Information and Reporting: Ensure the Board and management are well-informed of material undertakings, activities, and external factors, maintaining the integrity of public disclosures.
  • Board Collaboration: Work with the Chairman to develop Board agendas, call special meetings when necessary, and set the date, time, and agenda for the annual shareholder meeting.
  • Leadership by Example: Promote a culture of compliance with applicable laws, company standards, and policies, including environmental, safety, and health policies.


Qualifications and Experience

Education
  • Minimum: Graduate degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
  • Additional qualification in Management Studies, including Strategic Management, Finance, Organizational Theories, and Managerial Economics.
  • Membership in a professional body such as the Institute of Marine Engineers or Naval Architects.


Experience
  • Minimum of 20 years’ experience in the marine industry, with a focus on ship repairs and shipyard operations.
  • Extensive market knowledge of international ship repairs.
  • Proven expertise in project management, corporate governance, and commercial management.
  • Strong understanding of quality management controls and safety standards in the ship repair industry.
