The Company:
A global leader in niche energy transition services who specialise in offshore solutions and customised services for offshore wind farms. They have pioneered the future of offshore energy for over 50 years and seek a Business Development Manager to join the parent company and support their 11 entities in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities, developing and implementing strategic initiatives to expand their client base, build partnerships, and increase market share.

The Role:
  • Research and identify potential clients, partners, and market segments for business expansion.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development plans to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, key stakeholders, and industry influencers.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with potential clients and partners.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and product development to drive growth initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Prepare and present regular reports, forecasts, and analysis to senior management.
The Person:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles.
  • Understanding of industry/niche market dynamics and trends (Offshore Renewables, Subsea, Topsides and Marine).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement innovative business strategies.
  • Results-oriented with a passion for driving growth and exceeding targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (ideally Salesforce).
