- Oversee the technical operations of assigned dry cargo carriers, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and maintenance reviews to ensure vessel safety and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with vessel crews and onboard technical teams to address and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Monitor and manage dry-docking and repair projects, optimizing vessel downtime and costs.
- Provide technical guidance to onboard staff, offering expertise and solutions for complex technical challenges.
- Maintain accurate documentation of vessel maintenance, repairs, and technical procedures.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and shipyards to ensure efficient procurement and quality services.
- Prior experience as a Technical Superintendent, specifically with Dry vessels (Container, Bulk, MPP etc.)
- C/E Experience is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with both onboard teams and shore-based staff.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to technical challenges.
- A degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field is preferred or alternatively sailing time on board as an engineer.
