We are currently seeking a highly motivated Technical Purchaser to join the team at at our clients branch in the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities:
Contracting and Procurement (C&P):
- Collaborate with MATCOs, discipline engineers, and project management on procurement matters.
- Prepare comprehensive requests for quotation documents adhering to technical, commercial, and quality requirements.
- Negotiate and execute various purchase orders (POs) and contracts at both local and international levels.
- Efficiently create and manage contracts and purchase orders in the ERP system.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Verify stock availability to ensure timely procurement.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to optimize agreements.
- Identify frame agreement opportunities in collaboration with engineers and supply chain managers.
- Manage procurement documentation and correspondence.
- Provide guidance and information on contracting processes to stakeholders.
- Monitor contract performance and facilitate close-out, extension, or renewal processes.
- Conduct supplier evaluations in accordance with company policy.
- Facilitate supplier pre-qualification processes.
- Provide feedback to improve vendor management processes.
- Manage claims and track vendor feedback.
- Collaborate with HQ Supply Chain members to ensure global supply chain performance.
- Monitor post-delivery processes to ensure timely supplier payments.
- Contribute to the definition and improvement of corporate business practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or B.Sc. degree/MBO in a technical field, or equivalent in Work Experience.
- 3 to 5+ years’ experience in procurement and contracts area of oil and gas industry/Offshore/Marine with a taste for technical subjects.
- Fluent English, French and/or Dutch is a plus.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of logistics, customs, and stock management practices.
- Familiarity with corporate business practices and continuous improvement methodologies.

- Competitive salary between Salary Range: €45,000 – 53,000 (depending on experience).
