Faststream are working with a major Subsea Energy company to recruit a Senior Umbilical and Controls Engineer. The role is on a hybrid basis on an initial 6-month contract. The client is a global company who have delivered over 1000 projects worldwide. The role is likely to be outside IR35 (Subject to status determination).

Responsibilities: 

  • Understand the needs of clients whilst identifying and addressing design issues.
  • Complete and review technical specifications and scopes of work for Umbilicals.
  • Aid technical engineering support to other departments within central engineering and project engineering groups.
  • Ensure all relevant safety and legal objectives are followed. 


What you will need:

  • An understanding of Subsea Control System architecture.
  • Experience of formal engineering and design control processes.
  • Experience in delivery of Topside and Subsea Control System equipment and Umbilical systems.
  • BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (a HNC/HND alongside relevant experience will be considered.

Must have right to work in the UK.
