As a Port Operations Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in executing agency services for all clients in the shipping industry. Reporting to the Country Manager, this position requires efficient vessel handling, a commitment to high-quality service, and cost minimization. Your responsibilities will span administrative tasks and operational coordination to ensure seamless port calls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and send Port Disbursement Accounts (PDA) to principals
- Monitor and control costs during port calls
- Coordinate vessel port operations and communicate proactively with stakeholders
- Facilitate crew changes and transport arrangements
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and service providers
- 1-3 years of shipping industry experience, particularly as a boarding officer or operator
- Fluency in Dutch & English (speaking, reading, and writing)
- EU citizenship due to immigration laws
- Valid driving license and clean police conduct report
- Proficiency in IT solutions and smartphone technology
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills
- Attention to detail, reliability, and a professional attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and initiate tasks independently
- Adaptability to varying work hours
- Experience in Liner Industry or Logistics and Freight Forwarding Operations (Preferred)
