Operations Coordinator

Faststream is seeking an Operations Coordinator for a reputable and expanding client of ours, based in the South of the UK.

As a member of the operations department, your pivotal role involves providing essential support to the trading desk by efficiently managing operations and logistics, particularly focusing on coordinating all stakeholders in the fuel supply process. The operations department functions as a cohesive team dedicated to the effective and successful execution of fuel supply operations.

Key responsibilities of the Operations team include, but are not limited to:
  • Facilitating seamless communication among various stakeholders in the fuel supply chain, ensuring timely and accurate information flow between suppliers, transporters, and the trading desk.
  • Collaborating with both internal and external partners to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Scheduling and coordinating cargo loading and fleet resources, taking into account logistical constraints and delivery timelines.
  • Working closely with the trading desk to align scheduling with market demands and supply availability.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with relevant stakeholders, including suppliers, transporters, third-party agents, and internal teams.
  • Providing regular updates to the trading desk on the status of ongoing operations.
  • Proactively identifying and addressing operational issues or challenges that may impact the smooth execution of operations.
  • Collaborating with team members and stakeholders to find effective solutions.
  • Monitoring the performance of vessels and road tankers.
  • Tracking and reporting key performance indicators, identifying and addressing any arising issues.
  • Assisting in the preparation and processing of necessary paperwork related to fuel supply operations.
  • Maintaining close communication with the administration team to ensure compliance with all required formalities, documentation, and regulations.
  • Keeping organized records for auditing purposes and future reference.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of process improvements.
  • Staying informed about industry best practices and regulatory influences.
