Position Overview:
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Senior Bunker Traders to join our client's dynamic team. As a Senior Bunker Trader, you will play a critical role in our client's trading operations, focusing on bunker fuels in the European market and driving forward expansion. This is a remote position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere in Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily trading activities in the bunker fuel market, specializing in Europe.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, brokers, and customers.
- Analyze market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and geopolitical factors to make informed trading decisions.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to optimize trading outcomes.
- Manage risk by implementing effective hedging strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient trade execution.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Provide market insights and reports to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Bunker Trader, with a minimum of 5 years in the bunker trading industry.
- Strong network of contacts within the European bunker fuel market.
- An existing and extensive portfolio of customers/clients is essential. Preference will be given to those with an Mediterranean or North Europe portfolio.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in risk management and hedging strategies.
- Ability to work independently and make strategic decisions.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency in relevant trading software and tools.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
