Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Oversight: Manage and monitor the technical operations of assigned vessels, including maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure vessels adhere to all relevant regulations, class requirements, and industry standards.
- Performance Optimization: Implement strategies to enhance vessel performance, fuel efficiency, and operational reliability.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage vessel maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising safety or quality.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers to procure necessary equipment, spare parts, and services.
- Emergency Response: Provide technical support and guidance during emergencies, including incident investigation and resolution.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, technical documentation, and reporting systems to track vessel performance and compliance.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments, including operations, crewing, and procurement, to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical role within the maritime industry, preferably with previous superintendent experience.
- Thorough understanding of international maritime regulations, classification society requirements, and industry best practices.
- Strong technical knowledge of vessel systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven leadership capabilities, with experience managing teams and projects.
