Our clients are a leading global classification society who establish and maintain technical standards for the construction and operation of ships and offshore structures.
Main function is to survey ships/marine structures during construction and in service for compliance with applicable Class and statutory requirements.
Role involves:
- Conduct Surveys and assessments of ships
- Apply regulations requirements and principles
- Generating technically accurate and timely inspection reports
- Maintain up to date survey files
- Planning, scheduling and coordinating surveying activities
- Provide leadership, guidance and technical training when required
- Conduct routine surveys for compliance
- Client management
- 8 years’ experience in engineering or inspection’s field with IACS member Classification Society and hold qualification on Renewal and ISM/ISPS/MLC Audit
- Ability to understand engineering plans and have a basic knowledge of shipbuilding practices and ship operations
- Knowledge of ships’ engineering systems and machinery
