- Responsibilities:
- Electrical Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical systems including power generation, distribution, lighting, and control systems to ensure seamless operation throughout the vessel.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulatory standards to maintain a safe working environment for crew and passengers. Participate in emergency drills and response procedures as required.
- System Monitoring: Monitor electrical equipment performance, analyze data, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance during equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications. Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve complex electrical issues in a timely manner.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and inventory. Prepare detailed reports and documentation for regulatory compliance and management review.
- Training and Development: Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in electrical engineering. Mentor junior engineers and crew members to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Valid STCW certification and ETO Certificate of Competency III/6
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally onboard passenger vessels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
