Due to increased activity, Solstad Offshore has exclusively partnered with Faststream Recruitment to hire a Vessel Manager ( Operations) to complement the team in their growing Aberdeen office.

Solstad Offshore has more than 50 years of experience within various shipping segments and is currently the leading provider of specialised offshore tonnage to the international offshore energy industry, both renewable and petroleum.
  
We are looking for a Vessel Manager to join Solstads Operations team and be based in their  Aberdeen, UK office permanently.
  
This position will be supporting Solstads fleet of Offshore Construction Support Vessels.
  
The Operations team has extensive maritime and offshore experience and is looking for someone to complement the team. The Vessel Manager is responsible for a dedicated group of vessels and leads the vessel management teams.
  
These teams consist of the Technical Superintendent, HSSEQ, Crewing, Purchaser, ICT, and the Senior Officers on board the vessels.
  
In addition, the Vessel Manager has the responsibility to deliver vessels to our clients in accordance with the contracts, keep the vessel OPEX as forecasted, and profit & loss responsible.

Required Competence
  • Extensive marine knowledge, preferably with previous experience as a Maritime Officer on offshore vessels, or 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Project Management experience and/or experience of offshore operations.
  • Higher Maritime or Technical education is an advantage.
  • Experience in handling client relationships and client follow-up.
  • Capacity to understand Charter Parties.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
