This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Master Mariner or Superintendent to work with prestigious ship owner.
Reporting directly to the Fleet Manager you will have a significant role within the company. Your responsibilities will include the overall marine management of 2/3 LNG Carriers.
1.Assist the Manager and advise Masters and crew in expediting marine activities on board our fleet
2.Carry out periodic internal audits conforming to ISM /ISPS/ISO 9001 /ISO 14001 standards on board Company's Fleet of vessels.
3.Keep vessels aware of safety, security and environmental regulations changes as issued by international regulatory bodies
4.Ensure that the company's QMS procedures are maintained and developed
5.Perform internal safety and security audits including report preparation on board and in the office. Coordination of external audits and vettings.
6.Follow up on non-conformities and corrective actions
7.Participate in Investigations/ Root Cause Analysis of accidents/ Incidents and prepare accident/incident statistics
8.Coordinate responses to Shipboard Safety Committee minutes
You must be able to speak Spanish and have sailed up to the rank of Master on LNG Carriers. Shore based experience will be an advantage but not essential. To be successful in your application you will need to be a good team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships within this small but expanding office.
