A well-established international ship management company is seeking a Technical Superintendent to oversee a fleet of LNG vessels and ensure the highest standards of technical performance, safety, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the technical management of assigned LNG vessels to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations
  • Monitor vessel performance, maintenance schedules, repairs, and dry-docking activities
  • Provide technical support to vessel crews and ensure compliance with company policies, class requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Manage vessel budgets, spare parts procurement, and cost control initiatives
  • Coordinate with ship staff, vendors, shipyards, and third-party service providers for repairs and maintenance
  • Conduct vessel inspections and attend vessels when required
  • Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions where necessary
  • Ensure vessels maintain high operational standards and readiness for charter requirements
Requirements
  • Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (Class 1) is mandatory
  • Prior sailing experience as a Chief Engineer on LNG carriers is essential
  • Experience on motor LNG vessels is required
  • Candidates with experience on DFDE or XDF engines will be highly preferred
  • Prior shore-based experience as a Vessel Manager / Technical Superintendent is advantageous (around 1 year preferred)
  • Strong candidates coming directly from sea are also encouraged to apply
  • Strong technical troubleshooting, planning, and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel when required
