Our client is an established international shipowner operating a modern fleet of container vessels, including next-generation dual fuel tonnage. Due to continued fleet growth and expansion, they are looking to appoint a Technical Superintendent to oversee the safe, efficient and reliable operation of assigned vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the technical performance and daily operations of assigned container vessels
- Oversee planned maintenance, repairs, drydockings and budget control
- Ensure compliance with Class, Flag State and international maritime regulations
- Monitor vessel performance, machinery reliability and operational efficiency
- Work closely with onboard teams, vendors, yards and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth vessel operations
- Support troubleshooting and technical investigations when required
- Participate in inspections, audits and vessel visits
- Class 1 Chief Engineer CoC mandatory
- Prior sailing experience as Chief Engineer on container vessels
- Strong exposure to MAN B&W XDF / dual fuel engines is highly preferred
- Previous shore-based Technical Superintendent experience would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of PMS, drydockings, budgeting and vessel performance management
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
