An excellent opportunity to join a leading global yacht management company based in Fort Lauderdale.
As part of the Vessel Compliance team, you will support the safe and compliant operation of a fleet of managed yachts, ensuring all certification and regulatory requirements are consistently met.
The Role:
- Work closely with Captains, DPAs and Technical Managers on all compliance matters
- Monitor vessel compliance with USCG, Flag State and international regulations (IMO, MARPOL, SOLAS, ISM, ISPS, MLC)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date certification, safety documentation, manuals and inspection records
- Track and manage expiry of licenses, surveys, insurance and safety equipment; coordinate renewals
- Support vessels through audits, Flag inspections, Port State Control and class surveys
- Act as a key point of contact for owners, crew and internal teams on compliance queries
- Provide guidance on flag registration, documentation and crew certification requirements
- Experience in yacht management, vessel operations or maritime compliance, and/or sailing experience at Officer level, and/or shore-based experience in a similar role
- Strong working knowledge of maritime regulations and standards
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with crew, owners and regulatory bodies
- Willing to travel to vessels, marinas and shipyards as required
- STCW certification, maritime degree or similar
- Familiarity with ISM systems and yacht safety management
- Experience with private or charter yachts
