We have a new opportunity for an Upstream MQA Specialist to join Northern Marine Group (Maritime Global Services)


Location: India, Mumbai 
Reporting to: Upstream MQA Manager

Overview: Lead the Upstream Marine Quality Assurance (MQA) function, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of services in line with client requirements.

This role involves close engagement with offshore and upstream business units, maintaining alignment across MQA functions, and ensuring all activities meet ExxonMobil Supply Chain Best Practices and SLA requirements.
You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, leading team performance, and supporting both operational delivery and strategic MQA initiatives across global operations.

Required skill set and experience:

  • Proven ability to lead an Upstream MQA team and deliver assurance activities

  • Experience as an MQA Specialist within an Upstream function

  • Strong background in vessel assessment, screening, and clearance for offshore operations

  • Experience conducting audits (ISM, OVMSA) and managing non-conformities

  • Ability to carry out risk assessments on third-party marine assets and provide mitigation recommendations

  • Experience reviewing DP documentation in line with best practice

  • Confident in producing and presenting reports to senior management

  • Experience in personnel supervision and day-to-day team leadership

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels, including clients and third-party operators

  • Strong decision-making capability and problem-solving skills

  • High level of commercial awareness and business integrity

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum Chief Officer or Second Engineer

  • Electrical Background as an ETO or Chief Electrical Engineer 

  • DP and Offshore experience 

Additional desirable qualifications:

  • Lead Auditor certification

  • OVIQ Inspector accreditation

  • IMCA DP Practitioner

  • Training in accident and incident investigation

Office attendance: 
The business operates a 5 day per week in office presence, with the ability to utilise hybrid working, after probation period, up to twice a week, in line with business needs.
