Position: Technical Superintendent – Tanker (Oil/Chemical) Fleet
Location: Singapore
Requirements:
- Chief Engineer COC 1 preferred
- Previous experience as Technical Superintendent handling tanker vessels
- Strong tanker technical knowledge including engine room systems, cargo systems, pumps, boilers, inert gas systems, and automation
- Experience with planned maintenance systems, dry docking, repairs, and budgets
- Good understanding of Class, Flag State, OCIMF, vetting, ISM, MARPOL, and statutory compliance
- Strong vendor management and cost control skills
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Singapore-based candidates or candidates willing to relocate preferred
- Full technical management of assigned tanker vessels
- Ensure vessels are maintained safely, efficiently, and within budget
- Plan and monitor repairs, maintenance, and dry dockings
- Review defects, breakdowns, and corrective actions
- Monitor vessel performance and machinery reliability
- Liaise with Masters, Chief Engineers, owners, class, flag, and suppliers
- Manage budgets, procurement planning, and technical P&L targets
- Attend audits, inspections, and emergency response when required
