Faststream Recruitment is exclusively partnering with United European Car Carriers (UECC) to recruit a Technical Superintendent – PCTC, based at their headquarters in Oslo, Norway.
UECC is a market leader in sustainable short sea RoRo transportation, operating a fleet of Pure Car and Truck Carriers across a pan-European network. The Role
As Technical Superintendent, you will take full technical responsibility for assigned vessels, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
Key responsibilities include:
· Managing the day-to-day technical operation of assigned PCTC vessels.
· Overseeing maintenance, repair, and performance of vessels.
· Planning and executing dry-dockings and refits within agreed budgets and timelines.
· Conducting regular vessel visits and maintaining close communication with onboard crews.
· Managing technical budgets and cost control for assigned ships.
· Ensuring compliance with company Safety & Environmental Protection policies.
· Supporting contingency planning as part of the technical task force.
About You
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with strong technical and interpersonal skills.
To be successful, you will have:
· A BSc in Marine Engineering and/or senior engineering officer sailing experience.
· Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a technical shore-based and/or seagoing role.
· Strong knowledge of planned maintenance systems (CMS, PMS, CBM).
· Familiarity with maritime rules, regulations, and industry standards.
· Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a diplomatic approach.
· Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
