The role is critical to ensuring vessel safety, compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting the fleet strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the technical performance of assigned tankers, ensuring compliance with class, flag, and international regulations
- Plan and supervise dry dockings, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Implement and monitor planned maintenance systems (PMS)
- Control budgets for technical operations and ensure cost efficiency
- Conduct root cause analysis for technical issues and implement corrective actions
- Liaise with shipboard teams, vendors, and classification societies
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of spares and equipment
- Support QHSE initiatives and maintain high safety standards
We're ideally seeking a candidate who has:
- Sailed as Chief Engineer on LPG carriers, preferably VLGCs or other large gas carriers.
- OR relevant shore-based experience as Technical Superintendent.
- Dual-fuel LPG engine experience is highly desirable, though we're flexible on this
- European work sponsorship for seamless relocation.
