Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical performance and maintenance of assigned LNG/LPG vessels
- Ensure compliance with class, flag state, and regulatory requirements
- Manage planned maintenance systems, dry-dockings, and repairs
- Monitor vessel performance, budgets, and cost control
- Provide technical support to vessel crews and ensure best practices are followed
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, shipyards, and external vendors
- Support continuous improvement in safety, reliability, and operational efficiency
- Chief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency (COC) is mandatory
- Minimum 2 years’ sailing experience on LNG/LPG vessels at management level (Chief Engineer or equivalent),
OR minimum 2 years’ experience as a Technical Superintendent managing gas vessels - Strong understanding of:
- Dual Fuel Engines (DFDE / MEGI / X-DF)
- LNG cargo containment systems (e.g. Moss / Membrane)
- Cargo handling and gas management systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple vessels
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
