This role is suited to Chief Engineers looking to transition ashore and apply their sea-going experience across machinery reliability, technical troubleshooting, maintenance preparation, and operational support within an active fleet environment.
You will work closely with vessel crews, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assigned vessels, including drydock preparation, defect management, and technical coordination.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 12 months' sailing experience in Chief Engineer rank on dry cargo vessels (bulk carriers and/or container vessels)
- Strong understanding of machinery maintenance, engine room operations, and technical troubleshooting
- Practical exposure to drydock preparation, repair works, and defect management
- Experience with ME engines advantageous
- Stable career history within technically managed fleets
