We are working with an established offshore maritime company seeking a Technical Superintendent to support their African operations. This opportunity is open to seagoing Chief Engineers looking to transition into a shore-based role.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee technical operations and maintenance of offshore vessels
- Manage planned maintenance systems (PMS) and ensure compliance
- Coordinate dry dockings, repairs, and class inspections
- Monitor technical budgets, spares, and procurement
- Act as the key link between vessel crews and shore management
- Must have sailed as a Chief Engineer on offshore vessels.
- Experience on vessels such as AHTS, PSV, subsea, or similar
- Open to candidates making their first move ashore
- Strong technical knowledge of marine engineering systems
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Based in Africa with travel to vessels/shipyards
- Excellent opportunity for a career transition from sea to shore
- Prior superintendent experience is not required
