This is an excellent opportunity for a marine engineering professional to join a regional technical team in Houston, providing engineering support, technical analysis and practical guidance to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support to commercial, operational and customer service teams.
- Respond to technical enquiries from customers and internal stakeholders.
- Attend customer meetings and build relationships with customers’ technical teams.
- Review machinery data and test results, identifying potential concerns and providing technical recommendations.
- Prepare technical guidance for marine engines and onboard equipment.
- Conduct vessel visits to provide onboard support, inspections and technical advice.
- Support customer trials and the introduction of new technical solutions.
- Produce clear technical reports following analysis, meetings and vessel visits.
- Collaborate with technical specialists across an international business.
- Travel as required.
- Degree, diploma or recognised qualification in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum three years’ experience in marine engineering, technical services, engine manufacturing, engine maintenance or a related environment.
- Practical knowledge of two-stroke and four-stroke engines and associated marine equipment.
- Experience supporting customers and responding to technical engineering enquiries.
- Knowledge of lubricants, oil analysis or machinery condition monitoring would be advantageous.
- Strong technical reporting, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Confident, outgoing and proactive, with the ability to work independently.
- Willing and able to travel as required.
