This is a senior fleet role combining technical leadership, people management and direct vessel responsibility. You will lead Technical and Assistant Technical Superintendents while ensuring the fleet operates safely, reliably and within budget.
The Role:
Reporting to the Technical Director, you will:
- Lead, mentor and develop Technical and Assistant Technical Superintendents.
- Maintain technical oversight of vessels within the fleet.
- Manage and review vessel OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
- Drive consistent maintenance and engineering standards across the fleet.
- Oversee drydock planning, specifications and shipyard projects.
- Monitor vessel condition, reliability and planned maintenance.
- Manage contractors, shipyards and technical suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with class, regulatory and company requirements.
- Work closely with Operations, HSSEQ, vessel Masters and Chief Engineers.
- Conduct regular vessel visits and attend shipyards as required.
- Senior experience in marine engineering, vessel technical management or fleet operations.
- Previous experience leading technical personnel or Superintendents.
- Strong knowledge of vessel maintenance, repairs and dry dockings.
- Experience managing vessel budgets and major technical projects.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Strong leadership, commercial and communication skills.
- US Citizenship or US Green Card holder (sponsorship is unavailable).
