Faststream Recruitment is supporting a leading ferry operator in the search for a Technical Manager to join their Ports & Terminals team in Holyhead.

The Role
Reporting into senior port leadership, you will take full responsibility for the technical services function, ensuring that all port assets, infrastructure and facilities are maintained safely, efficiently and in line with operational priorities.
You will lead both internal teams and external contractors, driving performance, compliance and continuous improvement across a busy and diverse port environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop the Technical Services Team and third-party contractors
- Plan, coordinate and deliver maintenance activities safely, on time and within budget
- Take ownership of the maintenance budget, ensuring cost control and value for money
- Oversee lifecycle management and condition of all port assets and infrastructure
- Drive continuous improvement in maintenance systems, reporting and efficiency
- Promote and embed a strong Health, Safety and Environmental culture
- Manage risk, incident reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate closely with operational and marine stakeholders to align priorities
- Oversee vehicle fleet management in line with legislative requirements
- HND or equivalent in Civil, Maintenance or related Engineering discipline
- Experience within infrastructure, asset or facilities management, ideally in a port, marine or industrial environment
- Proven experience leading teams and managing contractors
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning or asset management systems
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets and controlling costs
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and regulatory compliance
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Full UK driving licence
