The Role As a Structural Marine Engineer, you will support the delivery of engineering projects, with a particular focus on offshore support vessels.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting structural engineering assessments and calculations.
- Reviewing equipment and installations on vessel decks.
- Assisting with cargo securing and securing arrangement reviews.
- Interpreting and reviewing engineering drawings.
- Supporting project teams with technical documentation and reports.
- Working with clients and colleagues to understand technical requirements.
- Developing your knowledge of marine engineering standards and regulations.
You may have:
- A relevant degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
- Some exposure to marine, offshore or structural engineering through previous employment, placements or academic projects.
- An interest in developing a career within the marine engineering industry.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with clients and present technical information.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical information.
Norwegian language skills would be beneficial but are not essential. This is a genuinely developmental opportunity, with the successful candidate supported in building their technical knowledge and experience.
