This is an opportunity to join a highly commercial shipping environment where you will play a key role in the operational management of tanker voyages supporting global trading activities.
The company is one of the most active participants in the international tanker market, chartering a substantial number of vessels each year across crude, clean products, dirty products and specialty cargoes.
Working closely with chartering, trading and cargo operations teams, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operation of tanker voyages from fixture through to completion, ensuring safe, efficient and commercially successful execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage pre-fixture and post-fixture tanker operations.
- Coordinate closely with chartering, trading and cargo operations teams.
- Monitor vessel performance, speed, consumption and voyage optimization opportunities.
- Manage bunker planning, port operations and agency appointments.
- Handle operational claims, disputes and performance-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate voyage records and provide timely operational reporting.
- Support freight and voyage profitability through proactive operational decision-making.
- Experience operating product tankers, crude tankers or similar vessel types.
- Strong understanding of voyage operations, charter parties and tanker logistics.
- Experience working within a shipowner, operator, trading house or energy company environment.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.
- Experience handling operational claims, disputes and voyage performance matters.
