We are partnering with a global shipping client to hire a competent Senior Purchasing Officer to join their expanding Singapore office.
You have at least 4 years of purchasing experience working for a ship owner or ship management company. You are meticulous, organized and resourceful.
You are responsible for the purchasing requirements for the vessels assigned to you. You will work with existing approved suppliers and to source for new suppliers when need arises. You will request for and compile quotations for approval. Maintaining close follow ups with suppliers on delivery schedules, and be aware of hazardous goods restrictions for different ports.
