The Role
- Contribute to the design and development of engineering projects from initial concept through to delivery.
- Take responsibility for the technical quality of your own work and deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and designers.
- Coordinate engineering activities and contribute to project delivery.
- Review and develop technical documentation and design information.
- Support the development of engineering processes, standards and best practice.
- Contribute to innovation, continuous improvement and new technical solutions.
- Work collaboratively with engineers across multiple disciplines.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and sound engineering judgement.
- Experience working on complex engineering design projects.
- Good understanding of engineering design processes and project delivery.
- Ability to manage your own workload, priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Experience reviewing technical work and supporting less experienced engineers.
- 2D/3D CAD experience.
- Experience with specialist engineering design software.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and technical standards.
- Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Understanding of system integration and how different engineering disciplines interact.
- Previous experience working with shipyards, vessel design or other complex engineering environments.
