Please note: This is a shore-based power generation engineering role focused on land-based power plants, LNG-to-power infrastructure, combined heat and power (CHP) facilities, and gas-fired generation assets. While candidates with marine engineering backgrounds may be considered, direct experience within the power generation sector is strongly preferred.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join an organization expanding its presence across LNG infrastructure, power generation, and integrated energy solutions. The role combines support for operating assets with involvement in feasibility studies, concept development, asset acquisitions, plant expansions, and major capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical authority for gas turbine and reciprocating engine power generation assets.
- Provide engineering support to operating facilities, including troubleshooting, root cause investigations, and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Support feasibility studies, concept development, and front-end engineering activities for new energy infrastructure projects.
- Conduct technical due diligence on existing power generation assets and acquisition opportunities.
- Lead technical evaluations of plant upgrades, fuel conversions, life extension programs, and capacity expansion projects.
- Develop engineering standards, specifications, and technical best practices across the asset portfolio.
- Support procurement activities, vendor evaluations, and EPC contractor management.
- Interface with utilities, regulators, OEMs, project teams, and operational stakeholders.
- Support performance optimization initiatives focused on efficiency, availability, reliability, and emissions performance.
- Provide technical leadership across LNG, natural gas, diesel, CHP, and distributed generation applications.
We are interested in speaking with engineering professionals who have experience supporting operating power generation assets and development projects within sectors such as:
- Independent Power Producers (IPP)
- LNG-to-power projects
- Combined Cycle and CHP facilities
- Distributed generation
- Utility-scale thermal power generation
- Energy infrastructure development
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of power generation engineering experience.
- Direct experience with gas turbines and/or reciprocating engine power plants.
- Experience supporting operating assets, major maintenance programs, and capital projects.
- Knowledge of LNG, natural gas, diesel fuel systems, CHP, or distributed generation technologies.
- Strong understanding of power plant reliability, performance optimization, and asset lifecycle management.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
