Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements
- Prepare agency agreements and review MOAs for vessel sale and purchase
- Provide legal advice on contractual matters and dispute resolution.
- Negotiate and finalize charter party agreements with owners.
- Draft internal charters and manage external charter arrangements.
- Handle charter party disputes in coordination with P&I Clubs.
- Support internal teams on insurance matters (coverage, claims, certifications) through brokers.
- Manage cargo and container claims, including investigation, coordination with surveyors, and engagement with P&I Clubs.
- Pursue recovery from liable parties and defend claims where appropriate.
- Recommend and implement loss prevention measures.
- Support claims handling across fleet and regional hubs.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Law
- At least 8 to 10 years of PQE in maritime law
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
