Responsibilities:
- Consolidate, analyze, and report on fuel consumption data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support fuel-saving initiatives and decarbonization efforts across the fleet.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of fuel consumption and vessel performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Research and evaluate potential vendors, technologies, and solutions for vessel modifications and efficiency enhancements.
- Monitor the performance and utilization of energy-saving devices to ensure optimal effectiveness.
- Conduct regular condition checks of diesel generators (D/G) and boilers to ensure optimal performance and facilitate early detection of abnormalities.
- Identify, evaluate, and propose innovative technical solutions and suitable vendors to improve overall fleet efficiency.
- Support ad hoc tasks, projects, and other initiatives as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Marine Engineer onboard vessels or in fleet performance monitoring within the container shipping industry
- Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles and vessel performance
- Familiarity with vessel performance metrics, fuel efficiency, and fuel optimization strategies
