You will take full responsibility for regional sales performance, balancing new business acquisition with the growth and retention of existing accounts. The core focus is delivering sustainable revenue growth, strong commercial margins, and consistently high levels of customer satisfaction aligned with wider business objectives.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a highly autonomous and visible role with genuine influence over regional strategy, market development, and commercial outcomes.
Please note: This is an individual contributor role and not a management position. It is suited to a hands-on sales professional with approximately 5–10 years’ commercial experience who enjoys actively driving new business and managing the full sales cycle.
Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and prioritise high-value commercial opportunities across assigned territories
- Develop and execute a structured regional sales and market development strategy aligned with business objectives
- Drive new customer acquisition and consistently deliver against revenue and growth targets
- Represent the business in the marketplace, promoting its services, values, and reputation
- Manage the full customer lifecycle, including onboarding, order processing, fulfilment, and after-sales support
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships to support repeat business and account expansion
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to support product development and service enhancements
- Deliver structured sales activity against agreed KPIs and commercial targets
- Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and market insights to senior leadership
Requirements
- Proven ability to work independently and take full ownership of a sales territory or regional portfolio
- Strong track record of success in B2B sales, ideally in international or multi-region environments
- Experience in the commercial shipping/ maritime industry, any background in software sales or related technical/information services is highly desirable
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Commercially astute with the ability to manage revenue targets, margins, and performance metrics
- Confident and credible when engaging with clients and senior stakeholders
- Highly motivated, resilient, and driven to deliver consistent sales performance
- Formal qualifications are advantageous but not essential where strong relevant experience is demonstrated
