- To perform independent reviews and evaluations across the brands of any and all operations and activities to assess/identify:
- The reliability and integrity of internal controls
- Compliance with policies, laws, and regulations which could have significant impact upon operations
- The effectiveness and efficiency of operations
- Best practices and benchmarked opportunities
- To review the adequacy of internal controls surrounding all material incidents of improprieties or alleged improprieties
- To assess and monitor (follow-up on) quarterly on management’s progress in implementing agreed upon opportunities
- To establish and maintain effective business relationships with operating management and to project a positive and pro-active image of Risk Advisory & Assurance Services
- To provide input to the development of the annual audit plan for the respective operating company based on the annual risk assessment that addresses the key areas of risk/opportunity within the company
- To exercise discretion in the review of records to ensure confidentiality of all matters
- To ensure that the Risk Advisory & Assurance Services methodology and integral quality standards are adhered to for audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting, including:
- Development or review of key audit documentation in Pentana
- Work papers: Ensuring that working papers are comprehensive, that they appropriately document the level and extent of audit work performed and provide an adequate audit trail to support the reported findings
- Status Reports: Keeping the Senior Manager / Director/ Audit Head aware of progress on audits and issues arising
- To demonstrate sufficient basic IT knowledge to be able to discuss and understand issues identified by Technology Services groups
- To determine administrative and audit related decision-making skills and the ability to reach optimal conclusions based upon completed audits
- To undertake relevant training, networking and studies as required to ensure continuing professional development and adherence to IIA standards
- To perform any other reasonable duties as and when required
- Travel may be required and is project-based (but should not exceed 25%)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 6+ years of work experience with management consulting firm, Big Four accounting firm OR large/complex internal audit department
- Confident in communicating effectively and constructively at all levels and by different means (written, verbal, listening)
- Strong analytical skills
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to create financial models within a spreadsheet application
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong knowledge of accounting and finance concepts and basic IT concepts
- High level of professionalism/independence/confidentiality

- Consistent and disciplined management style that allows accomplishment of objectives and the effective management of staff as appropriate
