Purchasing experience within the maritime industry is a must. You should come with the experience of overseeing purchasing for a fleet size of no less than 30 vessels. Commercially sound with strong negotiation skills. Proven track records in monitoring expenditure and cost savings.
You will be supervising and providing guidance to the purchasing team of up to 8 Purchasing Officer in the region. Monitor workflow from point of receiving purchase requests to delivery, and to introduce changes to improve efficiency where appropriate. Periodically reviewing product/service contracts and lead new global/regional contracts negotiations with vendors and service providers.
