Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this role will take full ownership of one or multiple projects, ensuring successful delivery across cost, schedule, quality, risk, and procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery, ensuring vessels and related products meet contractual specifications
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget completion
- Oversee subcontractors and coordinate all project resources
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Liaise with classification societies and flag authorities
- Drive quality assurance and quality control across all project phases
- Resolve design and construction challenges, providing strong leadership and direction
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks
- Oversee all project deliverables, including documentation and training
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to senior management
- Manage project budgets, cost control, and financial reporting
- Promote continuous improvement and cost optimisation initiatives
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience within the shipbuilding or yacht building industry (aluminium vessel experience preferred)
- Formal project management qualifications are advantageous
- Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and dispute resolution skills
- Experience in contract management and working with suppliers and subcontractors
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in multicultural environments
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
