The Opportunity
The Project Engineer will support the planning, coordination, and execution of complex engineering programs, helping to ensure projects are delivered with the right quality, pace, and technical rigor.
You will work across multidisciplinary teams, managing interfaces, tracking risks and actions, coordinating deliverables, and helping drive progress within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working across multiple disciplines, thrives in ambiguity, and can bring structure and momentum to technically challenging programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering workstreams across systems engineering, naval architecture, marine engineering, safety, licensing, controls, mechanical and electrical disciplines
- Translate project objectives into structured plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, risks, assumptions, and action tracking systems
- Support day-to-day project execution, ensuring deliverables are completed with the appropriate quality, pace, and technical rigor
- Manage technical and programmatic interfaces between internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders
- Prepare project status updates, meeting outputs, risk registers, issue logs, and decision records
- Identify execution risks and blockers early, proposing practical solutions and recovery actions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across project engineering processes and tools
- Collaborate closely with both US and international engineering teams

Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience within Project Engineering, Technical Program Management, Systems Engineering, or related engineering project environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Strong coordination and communication skills within multidisciplinary engineering environments
- Ability to manage ambiguity, evolving priorities, and fast-moving technical programs
- Experience tracking schedules, risks, actions, and technical deliverables
- Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving capabilities
- Comfortable operating within a startup-to-scale-up culture
- Maritime, offshore, shipbuilding, defense, advanced energy, or nuclear engineering environments
- Previous exposure to highly regulated or safety-critical industries
- Experience within complex infrastructure or first-of-a-kind technology programs
