A leading marine classification and engineering organisation in the Fort Lauderdale area is seeking a Principal Hull Plan Approval Engineer to join its North America Marine team.

In this influential role, you'll review and approve hull structural designs for newbuilds, conversions, and vessels in service, ensuring compliance with international regulations, classification requirements, and the highest safety standards. You'll work closely with clients, shipyards, and engineering teams, providing expert guidance on structural integrity, design compliance, and innovative engineering solutions.

We're looking for a Naval Engineering professional with 8+ years of experience in hull structure design, shipbuilding, or classification plan approval. Strong knowledge of IMO conventions, SOLAS, MARPOL, IACS requirements, structural analysis, fatigue assessment, and finite element analysis is essential.
