Strong commitment to safe and efficient cargo operations, and they are currently having openings for Port Captains to work remotely from India and China to uphold these standards and contribute to their continued success.
As Port Captain, you'll oversee cargo care and hold cleanliness, ensuring efficient stowage and prep for our bulk carriers. Collaborate with ship teams to advise on loading/discharge, minimizing downtime and enhancing terminal service. Travel to vessels and ports, conduct cargo surveys, and contribute to stability calculations and incident investigations. Shape operational procedures, including onboard training and data analysis projects.
Key Requirements:
- Currently based in India or China.
- Substantial experience as a Master on board geared bulk carriers, with exposure to various bulk cargoes.
- Experience with bulk cargo loading/unloading and hold cleaning.
- Fluent English proficiency (*for the opening in China, language proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred).
- Ability to work independently within tight deadline.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel as and when required.
