My client is a leading offshore support vessel owner based in Aberdeen, who are looking to bring on a Planned Maintenance System Administrator

The company is going through an exciting transition by expanding into new markets across the SOV and renewables sectors. You will also have the option to WFH on Monday and Friday, with office presence required during the week.

You will be responsible for maintaining the newly implemented Planned Maintenance System across a large fleet of offshore support vessels and a fleet of new build SOVs joining the company next year. You will provide support to crew and onshore staff on the system and provide a helpdesk for queries. You will ensure documentation is kept up to date and advise Superintendents and Managers when Jobs and Defects are overdue. You will be responsible for creating new jobs within the PMS and modifying existing job descriptions, amongst various other duties.

You will mainly work with the offshore crew and Superintendents as well as other onshore staff, by helping with information reporting requirements when needed.  You will also be needed to set up technical data forms and from time to time be able to provide an out of hours service. 

The Ideal candidate will have: -
  • Experience managing or operating planned maintenance systems 
  • Good background knowledge on Class and Flag 
  • Sea going or ex sea going experience as Chief or 2nd Engineer or ETO preferably on ERRV, AHTS, PSV, SOVs 
  • Have strong knowledge of ships systems, machinery, and maintenance requirements, as well as knowledge of SOLAS, IMO, Class and Flag
  • Be based permanently in Aberdeen but be able to travel to other UK sites when required  
In order to be considered you must have the existing right to live and work in the UK. You must either be based in Aberdeen or be willing to relocate to the region.
