Key Responsibilities:
- Promote the aims and objectives of the company
- Lead the team ensuring best practice, including staff induction, supervision, and appraisal.
- Attend relevant training/conferences/meetings to support professional development
- Manage the recruitment process
- Assist the General Manager in setting, implementing, and reviewing policies
- Deputise for the General Manager as required
- Ensure compliance with internal requirements and maintain contact with clients and colleges
- Organize training programs for staff
- Establish and grow relationships with internal staff
- Review and influence changes to support and structure
- Oversee completion of client requirements
- Participate in client engagement activities
- Manage emergency out of hours rota
- HNC/D in a related field or equivalent
- Experience within the maritime industry
- Demonstrated management experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional and outgoing approach
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Team player
- IT literate with knowledge of MS Office
- Confident and self-motivated
- Excellent time management abilities
