The Role -
Responsible for the management and maintenance of the Material Master (MM) databases (SAP, MM10, McMain) and spare parts technical catalogue to ensure that quality technical and operational information is provided to user groups to facilitate the accurate identification of equipment and material procured for inventory and direct purchase.
Work closely with Project Managers, Technical Superintendents, Rig Material Coordinator, etc. to ensure the Material
Master Data Bases is updated and functional.
- Create new items on the Material Master (MM) databases in SAP, MM10, McMain, providing MM numbers as per request, and dealing with users and Technical Authority to get approvals as per procedures in place.
- Responsible for modifications on the MM databases in SAP, MM10, McMain (update of specification, changing specification values, modifying inventory planning levels, blocking MM numbers, etc.).
- Create and assign accurate material descriptions and specifications taking into consideration user requirements, technical authority recommendations and applicable international standards.
- Provide a proper search of MM numbers and promote user training in order to avoid duplicate creation of items.
- Carry out a deep revision and cleaning of the existent databases MM numbers and standardise minimal information, format and the presentation of the MM Numbers.
- Design and upload standardized templates for MM numbers request in order to make the MM numbers request for all users easy and faster.
- Single point of contact for new additions, updates and deletions of Item master information including descriptions, inventory, warehouse, purchasing and finance information. Also, accountable for maintaining offshore storage views and material valuation class in the material master.
- Reporting Material Master activities and results.
- Focal point for all of the Material Master related activities.
- Development and implementation of SCM KPI’s: Dashboard, monthly, quarterly, and yearly KPI’s
Knowledge in materials of JU Rigs’ equipment Offshore, Marine & Oil & Gas equipment, warehouse operations, inventory management, stock control.
- Knowledge in Material Master Data.
- Knowledge of SAP-MM and standard working software will be a plus.
- General knowledge of international standards and specifications (API, ASTM, ASME, etc) will be a plus.

Professional Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience in materials management for oil and gas industry/Offshore/Marine.
- 2+ years in cataloguing activities
- Experience in Inventory management will be a plus.
- Good handling of MS Office Tools (Excel, Power Point)
- Power BI and SAP-MM will be a plus.
