The team is specifically looking to add a Chief Engineer or experienced Technical Superintendent who can bring strong technical and engine expertise into the marine assurance function. This is therefore not a purely compliance or marine operations role.
The successful candidate will provide valuable technical input across vessel vetting, terminal interface assurance, audits, incident response and wider operational risk.
You will act as a key technical authority on whether vessels, operators and terminals are safe and suitable to support the company’s global trading and production activities. You will work in a small, specialist team that vets thousands of vessels per year and supports major marine incidents and emergency response.
This is a high-visibility role with strong exposure across the wider business. You will interface with shipowners, managers and internal stakeholders at senior level, and your decisions will directly influence the company’s risk profile, commercial performance and reputation.
What you’ll bring?
- Senior seagoing experience, ideally progressing to Chief Engineer level on LPG/gas or chemical tankers.
- Strong shore-based experience is a plus, as a Technical Superintendent with a tanker or gas carrier background.
