Marine Systems Engineer - United Kingdom -

Faststream are working with a major engineering and consultancy provider based to the South of London looking for several Marine Systems Engineers at Lead and Principal level.

This is a 12-month initial contract position and the successful contractor will provide input to an FPSO project which is at FEED stage.

It is anticipated that the roles will fall outside of IR35 following assessment.

Job Description:

As a Naval Architectural Marine Systems Specialist, you will provide support to the Lead related to this discipline. Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Design of hull systems such as cargo storage, transfer and export, slop system, drains, ballast system, inert gas and venting systems, cooling water, diesel and lube systems and the interfaces between the marine systems and other interfaces such as the turret or topsides.

The ideal contractor will have:

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or directly related discipline required
10+ years (minimum) of experience in Marine Engineering
Strong knowledge in marine systems in FPSOs
Strong knowledge of Class and Regulatory requirements for FPSO marine systems"

Contractors must be eligible to provide services in the UK and be available to attend the project office on a regular basis.
