We have a new opportunity for a Marine Superintendent | LPG to Join Northern Marine Group

Location: Glasgow, Clydebank (with occasional travel as required).
Reporting to: Marine Manager

Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity to join Northern Marine Management Ltd, supporting the safe and efficient operation of a fleet of vessels. The Marine Superintendent will provide expert marine operational support and guidance to fleet groups, ensuring full compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.

You will play a key role in vessel performance, inspections, incident investigation, and continuous improvement of marine operations, working closely with both onboard and shore-based teams.

Required skill set and experience:

  • Unlimited Certificate of Competency (STCW II/2, unlimited tonnage)

  • Degree in Nautical Science or equivalent experience

  • Sailing experience as a senior officer, ideally with command experience

  • Strong background within a Marine Superintendent or similar marine operations role

  • Experience across oil, chemical or gas tanker operations

  • Extensive knowledge of ISM, ISPS, OCIMF and CDI vetting processes

  • Proven experience conducting vessel inspections, audits and ship visits

  • Strong understanding of marine compliance, safety, and environmental regulations

  • Ability to support incident investigations and produce detailed reports

  • Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and cost control

  • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to engage with stakeholders across a global, multicultural environment

Office attendance:
This role will be based full time in the Clydebank office, with occasional travel as required, including potential international travel. The business operates a 5 day per week in office presence, with the ability to utilise hybrid working, after probation period, up to twice a week, in line with business needs.
